I love it when life presents me with mystery, uniqueness, and the slightly off-kilter. I often find myself drawn to these things more than others.
The nutty, the dorky, those with a warped sense of humour.... I feel akin.
Maybe it's because I consider myself a teeny bit weird, and a whole lot of quirky. I'm a mish mash of thoughts, with musings and inner adventures taking up room in my head.
I often feel a deep affinity with the children I teach who surprise with unusual and off-beat ideas and questions. Those who ponder the mysteries of the mostly unheard of. The inventions and creations of those immersed in rich veins of wonder and enchantment. It's a delightful eye-opener to see what unaffected free thinkers can conjure up!
In celebration of strangeness, mystery, and the slightly weird, here are 4 quotes I adore.
You can download them all via PDF at the end of this post.
And finally, a longer quote I've always loved...
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Until we chat again, here's to a little bit of strangeness!
