3 Powerful Symbols I Use For Visualization...

3 Powerful Symbols I Rely On. Circle of Daydreams.

Do you have any special symbols or visual cues that have special significance for you?

I have 3 symbols, and I use them as part of my mental rehearsal and visualisations when I need them.

Each symbol has special meaning and carries a specific intent.

An Arrow:

This represents being able to fly cleanly and swiftly in a chosen direction, as well as being able to 'let go'. It also reminds me to keep setting targets (goals) to aim for! If I miss my target, there's always another arrow in the quiver (as long as I'm looking after my mind/body/soul properly)!

A Feather:

This represents being kind to yourself. Creating a soft, nurturing place to gently fall. And, cheekily tickling seedlings of hope and possibility to life. It also represents being able to lift myself up and support myself when I'm down mentally, emotionally, or physically. As well as, being able to float lightly along remaining as positive as possible.

A Wheel + Leaves:

These represent a saying gathered from a series of books written by one of my favourite authors. The series is called 'The Wheel Of Time' and is written by Robert Jordan. It's a much loved fantasy series with many fans, and spans some 14 volumes. One saying used by certain characters within the stories has always rung true for me.....

'The wheel weaves, as the wheel wills'.

To me this speaks to the way the 'wheel of life' keeps turning and throws up situations and circumstances we sometimes have no control over. Things happen. Life is sometimes not fair. Bad things happen to good people. Good things happen to bad people. Sometimes we don't know what life has in store. But, how we respond to the things that happen to us, (sometimes seemingly at random), is something we all have the capability to control if we wish.

Repeating the saying (like a mantra), helps me accept the things I cannot change, and take action to improve or adapt the things I can if required. It soothes and calms me when I need to take a step back and just breathe.

I visualise the wheel as a wagon wheel or just a simple circle with beautiful leaves entwined around it. I love leaves and trees, and to me they represent the growth we experience as we deal with all those things 'the wheel' churns our way.

We're beings capable of amazing depth and change, and the wheel and the leaves together are my way of remembering that no matter what happens, I will find a way to deal with it.

Overall, these symbols are something I sort of combine in my mind to form a type of compass!! All 3 help me stay true to myself and my course. They help me head in the right direction if I need to change, and find my way back if I get lost!

My visualisations act as my compass. Circle of Daydreams.
